Autumn in Amsterdam

I could have stayed away longer. But the compensation is good .i seem to have had 6 seasons in one year including 3 summers. 

The garden was controlled, thanks to Annie's work. 

The culinary trip for Oceania cruises was a success. Pats lunch Club has started , a very nice group, Jeannie helped me this time a good start and much fun . The food was good too. Next time together with Patric.

I hope it becomes a regular event, it was lovely to be in the kitchen again.

This  weekend I cooked for all the birthdays of the Leeflangs, as we where all away this summer. Hannie and Karel sort of adopted me about 35 years ago. I have never looked back. 

Further much golf and for the rest I enjoy being with Penny sitting in the autumn sun in the garden. She is getting quite weak so eats , sleeps and has little waddle around the garden. Yesterday we enjoyed an early Sunday morning coffee on the stoep/ front steps . The Herengracht is so beautiful then, sun shafting through the trees, calm water on the canals. I think of my boat Willy, how nice it would have been to take a small trip with Penny .

Plans  for the next trip, we will see . The next time without Penny, but we loved our last summer together I hope you enjoyed sharing it.
