A dear all my story flew out the window so here we go again

8 mei 2014

We had problems en route, Pattys wagon failed to start at the moment supreme , at a petrol station in Wales and when leaving the ferry boat.

Fayleen took control and A 5 man crew started to frantically wiggle all the leads, whilst I prayed and turned the key at every spark of life. After about 5 minutes when we where all getting desperate she burst into life. Halelulja

we drove to  Tramore and had a good stir fry before collapsing into bed. At 6 am the battery suddenly cam e alive and worked as an alarm click for the camping site !! This occurred 3 times in quick session.

That morning I phoned the ANWB . They are truly a great service when you are abroad. They sent a Irish AA man to help us. He was a true leprechaun . He was really great, discussed the symptoms and got to work, after a time he said, it is the negative battery pole, he took it apart and it was black meaning it was scorched.  He cleaned it with wire brushes and Hallelujah she started like a. Purring kitten. Whow was I , we relieved.
The ANWB man in Holland missed it as I had asked him to check the connections. We then had tea and a chat with him and then set of on a beautiful coastal country lane , what views .
More tomorrow now to bed tired but happy. Tomorrow has come What a great drive with a 360 degree view from Pattys wagon. Now by the sea in the rain... Had a great meal if fresh coquilles last night with a super salad. The coquilles cost 1 euro each and we got 1 for free. Even woman over 65 get surprised how helpful men can be. God bless em we could not do without them.

today to Ballymaloe the world famous cookery school and to stay with Darina Allen and to go with her to a slow food dinner tonight. Life ain't dull
Love Pat and Fayleen

    Love to you both. Ellen

    Hallo Pat,

    Liefs
    Marten
