From cooking school to one pan dishes

Christmas in England not a gourmet diner but really good food cooked with love(most of the time )

IN IS BAKED HAM  IN COCOLA SHUDDER AND ALSO OVERBAKED.

 The days before Christmas Annie made us super veggies plus, a breakfast trip to Colbert Sloane square (including Bloody Mary) got us into the mood.  A visit to Sacchi musem,  a  street market on the way. Then more excitement  in Kings road real street food , but we where full, what a pity

Christamas days with 9 children under the age of 8 ,and 14 adults and an AGA fantastic. My cup did runeth over. Especially with a baby on my knee during the Christmas service . My friend Fayleen is just  fantastic she is marvellous just does it, not without worries of course . Boxing day a walk, in the mud I almost lost my Aigle boots.( sorry not Hunters). Then left overs on the squash court. 50 people, the local gentry. No not them !  The next day a bonfire in the Dell I was exhausted dragging a half a laurel tree up hill and down dale , have to do my bit for England .

 A few delicious extra tastes from my god childs husband Michiel, foie gras , bouche de Noel and fantastic cheeses from the Haute Savoie plus oysters and salmon from Holland of course with  a few good cellar left overs  to match. Do not pass Annecy without calling me for Michilels adress. Mama has a 2 star restaurant Le Clos de Sens.

Then on to Rural England and family and finally a show in London with my dear school friend Hilary - Kiss me Kate at the Old Vic brilliant before that some culture at the Tate Modern Fantastic.A good time was had by all. Dog penny I am not sure but she had a few bits of turkey! and the cat food.

Home on the range a bit flat . Ireland is not going through so now to new plans . Watch this place . A year Sabbatical ain,t easy.

Resolutions 

Inspiration, intuition, and lots of R's relax , rejoice ,rejuvenate , reflect. Enjoy

So i went to the market and bought 1 sea bass, 2 inkfish , 1 bunch cavola Nero , 2 portobellos and a partridge in a pear tree!

I have eaten sea bass en papilotte, Ink fish with porto bellos and cavolo Nero, parpadella with cepes and ink fish . All for 15 euros max. but alone !

My thoughts are roving to my next trip. watch this page . It could be Italy via South Africa. A Sabbatical is hard work I  enjoy just being without having too, though of course I miss everything  which was my cooking school my students my staff my girls! The food

    Uitgebreide diners zo rond Christmas,maar nu weer lekker
    terug naar basics.Teveel calorien,te weinig beweging.Ik doe zelf voor 7 weken een dieet van smoothys,havermout,kwark,vruchten,muesli,s,vis en vegetarische balletjes e.d. en natuurlijk geroosterde groenten in weinig zonnebloemolie.
