Homeword bound what a perfect way to end my trip
3 juni 2013
In harmongoutty with Jose where I commenced my journey on the 6 september last year with a trip to George Blanc. My journey is not yet ended nor my Sabbatical but at home there is a kitchen garden to be made and a golf swing to be swung , friends to see. Recipes to be sent to you all when my Mac book is repaired and dare I say plans to be made ..... Ireland .. Portugal.. Via San Sebastian.. Jose and I where discussing the restaurants and Cuisine in Spain last night, she has been a lot made my mouth water. Apart from my trip to Sevilla with EllenI I have not experienced the new cuisine and its techniques I just really look forward to the new taste experiences and the offshoots from the young chefs of today fascinating, as Jose says it is good to taste something one cannot make oneself. We must eat there together i would not miss being with her to enjoy her enjoyment and my own of course Just her story of dining at an "in place in Viajante in Town hall hotel, Patriot Square Bethnal Green was so vivid one felt one was there too. . ... Yesterday we went cross country too Plombeires le Bain an ancient town with old roman baths , what an imposing place I am looking forward to visiting the baths on a rainy day with Jose sometime soon. This day was sunny so after a delicious simple lunch of Jambon And a glass of Pinot Noir we wandered around the antique market before returning home to watch the sun and chat of course with the last bottle from Pattys wagons cellar the dellicious Roero Arneis. Sunday is rest day !!! tomorrow begins rhe big job mowing the grass, in such a way that the wild flowers do not become decapitated. Last night a gorgeous meal quails, as you know one of my favourites in the Romatof!!! If you still have one get it out of the cupboard or cellar ... As Jose says it is rather like a Tagine... A combination of saffron , butter , orange rind and juice plus a bed of haricots , paprika and a litlle left over aubergine made a feast for Queens. I hope i enclose a few photos , look for the flying birds !!

If so you've escaped the rain for there seems to be falling
a lot of drops in France, but here now it is bright and sunny
finally!
