The last leg of a wonderful journey

26 februari 2014

I meant to say prices are higher here. From Saigon we went by bus for 3 hours, through rice fields to a place on the Mekong Delta, with our group via Riksja travel and Asian Trails. Super organization, once again all nationalities, but okay people. There we embarked on a small Vietnamese motor boat with comfortable folding chairs . Off we sped to a floating market , then 5 hours through the Delta, stopping for lunch on the way. elephant ear fish, plus a few other dishes. On arriving in Ca To we went to the bar on the roof, what a view, early to bed, next day the floating Wholesale market for the farmers, just a half hour there and back. Then a back breaking Drive to a coastal port Ra.. To board Super Dong. Just 3 hours in a hover craft . Oh my , just sat and hoped for arriving, it was, full noisy no drinks or food. Fortunately in the Mekong Delta we had stopped to see locals at work, making coconut  sort of fondant, puffed rice , and more, so we could tuck into our chocolate rice puff bars to keep the tummy rumbles at bay. Now at Cassia Villlage, wonderful place, sun , sea gardens and rest. We are not venturing anywhere in the next few days. Fantastic, good food, more of that tomorrow, now of the beach barbecue

my favorite seafood and possible a green mango salad again ,sitting at the waters edge with a cool glass of wine in our hands and the sea almost lapping at our feet. Paradise just for one more day
