What a night , bubble bubble toil and trouble fire burns and !!!!!

Forgot the restEating of course with lovely friends , like coming home to a warm bath St Martin de Gorgoyne , rings a bell with some of you already.. Nieuwsgerig I just lost all my text , the darned rising sun !!!!So I have to share last night start again.  Was waxing so poetic . Joostband I where invited to Wilhemijn Stuit and jan Lagrouw in above mentioned place , for me not the first time. They saved my 60 th birthday when Lidy sold the hameau Encarion where my party was held, the grounds where still available but the rest was empty all. I was of course in one of my panics, Jan said take the next plane here. Which I did, I can listen you know. Within a few days we had booked all the B&B in the surrounding countryside, Jan also made the terrine of foie gras and confit de canard plus acompaignements, Wilhemijn made a fantastic photo reportage and I seem to remember her running around serving  the food with some of my fit friends. I seem to have arranged everything until the point of serving....laying the table etc. Joost has never forgiven me for making him drive from Amsterdam 1200 kilometers with 4 x24 glasses !!!Jan even arranged the roasting of the pig, it became  lamb as the roaster was Muslim and so much more i ave to thank them for most of all friendship. The best day of my life . After my wedding day , in another life.   Is 15/16 July 2007 Now back to the cauldronWe where greeted at the gates by Wilhemijn , Jan , 4 dogs and Carola a school hockey friend from Wilhemijn . Penny greeted the dogs with a smile and a small curling up of the lip. ZO .. She was picked up by Jan , love at first or 10 sight, old doggies change too. We arrived on the terrace. A glass of wine and the foie gras yummie and joost favourite. The fire was lit the cauldron placed upon , the fish soup begun, a long fascinating progress and what a soup, fish soup is not one of my great successes. Now I know , Jan langoustine broth , his ingredients and a magical evening. Whilst waiting or should I say as time was passing as it does here , we had thinly sliced auberge news with a secret sauce and pine nuts, a super hummus like real hummus from white Tarbes s beans and guess what my favourite artichokes. I could have eaten the bowl full. Gravelax with a history lesson, salad and wine

The cauldron was put on the table, the fish, langoustines and mussels having been added at the last minute . I stopped talking for 20 minutes, but then I am a quiet person in company.
Am so lucky too, I am invited to their driveway on Saturday , so long the fish fresh is !!!
And will play golf with Jan on Monday. Then the next stage of my journey , hopefully with Barbara we will see.

Gypsy woman I did not become but the compromise with Pattys Wagon , driveways , friends and Amsterdam I love . I am not a loner nor ever will be I tried.....

Of to the market in Lectoure then packing the wagon and enjoying my day with Joost.
