Even the golf club has great food.

Food is Italy , every where i have been it is good. The local restaurant in town served us a great meal with wine for 21 euros pp. I had my favourite quails filled with sausage delicious would it not be I like them a bit more rose. Penny and her friend tucked int a more simpler fare bread rubbed with garlic, olive oil and the greatest parma  , followed by grilled chicken escalopes and spinach with great itlian oven roastedpotatoes   life can be so simple with the right ingredients and a bottle of Grechetttoi . Penny and Elizabeth Wholey who i know well from my trips to America with IACP ( association of international culinary proffessionals)has like e so many ex pats here for instance Judy and Pamela in chianti , settled here and made a living as a cook and writer, also those less fortunate are guardians s for the richer and cook  and clean for 10 euros an hour , when the owners are not in residence and when the places are not let to others. And they all love it. Food for thought again . Yesterdays golf was on a nearby course tucked into the mountains , created by robert trent jones for a rich italian womanmany years go, she has since died and now the course is looking a bit run down and not well kept . The rough is tough and ate my balls. Now due for redevelopment with houses around the course it could be wonderful overlooked by an 11century fort it has allure, BUT the local goverment will not give permission. The locals however all go to eat there fantastic . I cannot wait until tomorrow i already know what i am going to eat after my golf! Ravioli with sage Yummyi cannot seem to charge my photos on this blog very well so i may have to put them on my face book which is under LCF via Instagram if i can get it too work, so much to learn , you can also then check out on Patrics work . The italian regional starts in June , i have offered to help as i just love the italian style, as yetnitis not full so please spread the word. Elizabeth new book Sustenance is a real must if in this area , great background history of the Tiber Valley , and the farmers of today , this afternoon I am going to visit some of the farmers and places in the book, but first to the organic market and a wine supplier, my vino noble Multipiciano  is running low. Infact my cellar at home is empty too, pity i cannot just load it all into Patty's Wagon. Next week Ellen arrives for our trip through Piemonte , starting with a few days in Bologna and Parma, we are staying in agritourisme places on the way , i am so looking forward to it.
The sun is now shining into my room so time for a morning greeting to the nature and a small hobble with Penny. She has managed to become the leader of the pack !!!
